  1. The cost  of the wine package is advantageous, if your purchase it now, in sterling.

At nearly 2 USD to the pound it has to be worth a gamble that the exchange rate doesn't get any better before your cruise. Personally I would gamble on the exchange rate staying stable for a while and pay now in sterling. You could save a few dollars.

  2. The price is calculated in Dollars then converted to pounds sterling at what the cruise line thinks the exchange rate will be - not the current exchange rate (they have to forecast the exchange rate in order to post for future cruises).  Check the price in US dollars and do the conversion on today's rate.

If you are buying a ticket that gives you some number of glasses of house wine, be advised that the glasses may be smaller than they give you when you purchase one glass at at time on board.

  3. Unless there is a significant difference in the value, which would be to your favor if you purchased in Sterling, I'd wait until you boarded.
