Question:

Is it worth repairing my Canon Ixus 75 camera?

I have had my Ixus just over one year, and now my camera's lens is broken and needs to be replaced. I have been given two quotes, the lowest of which is £90.

I love the Ixus, and brand new it is still £125, so it would be cheaper to get mine fixed.

The biggest advantage I can see to getting a replacement is that then I can spend an extra £25 to get a 3 year plan to cover it from mishap in case it happens again.

I realise that people tend to replace these things rather than have them fixed, in which case, can anyone recommend to me a camera that is as good or better as the Ixus 75, for around £100-£130.

What does everyone think?

  1. I would recommend to get Canon IXUS 80 IS.  It has 8 megapixels and optical image stabilization which can help to reduce blurry pictures.
