Question:

Is it worth restoring my 1990 Dodge Daytona?

My 1990 Dodge Daytona needs engine work, the interior's headliner is coming down, and the lock mechanism in the driver side door is faulty. To fix it up I'm guessing is going to take at least $2,000, probably more. That's way more than the value of the car right now. I love the car, would love to see it fixed up, would hate to come to a day where I regretted giving it up.

I know nothing of car restoration and a car's value over time. It's hard to imagine the car as one day being a classic, but I could be wrong. Is it worth it?

  1. It's not. You'll wind up pouring at least twice what you guess into it, and you'll still have a ton of old worn out parts on it.

  2. car is worth what you want to spend on it... so when you think your wasting your money then its time for a new one

  3. It really depends on you. If you like the car that much then it is worth it. Unless you are putting money it all the time to keep it running. You will probably not get the money out of it that you put in. I would way out and see how much it would cost to get it fixed and then see if it would be easier to just get another used car.
