my receipts for EVERYTHING i buy/spend? i think i have all my receipts of all 2008 so far..can anyone help me here?

  1. I do save everything, but I discard the small ones every week or two.

    Why? It reminds you what you did, if receipts are a hassle, you have two choices, don't buy, or don't keep them.

    Keeping receipts and being cheap has always put me ahead of every friend I know (and they wonder why I'm $500 richer than them every month).


  2. You don't need to save for every little thing. Keeping old grocery receipts and receipts from times you run in somewhere for just a pack of gum will not do anything but clutter your space. I recommend only keeping receipts for purchases totaling over $100 (not including grocery receipts) or ones that you may need in the future that have important info on them (such as a cell phone receipt that details your phone plan).
