Is it worth selling my ps2 or should i take it somewhere to fix it, or is it something i can fix?

when i turn my ps2 on and put the disk in, it starts flashing "reading disk" when loading about twice but then it stops and doesn't start the game. is there anything i can do?

  1. sell the ps2 and buy the 40GB ps3 on ebay for like 300-400. it will be worth it.
