Is it worth spending $700 to put in a natural gas grill or just buy a regular one?

The plumber stated it would cost that much just for his work, then the price of the grill!

  1. The only benefit to Natural Gas is that you do not have to worry about running out of LP (Liquid Propane) but I just keep an extra tank on hand.  NG is cheaper but it produces less BTU's.  It comes down to how much of an inconvenience is is for you to buy the propane.


  2. A couple thoughts :

    natural gas is cheaper to burn

    unless you are building the grill in you will be tied to a hose with natural gas

    propane grills are more portable

    I would go with propane. Unless you do a lot of grilling $700

    is a lot to recoup with the cheaper cost of natural gas
