Or should I spend more of my time in Belo Horizonte and Rio, where I could do voluntary work there aswell?

I have approximately 5 months to play with before I meet a friend and travel north of Brazil.

Thanks

  1. I wouldn't spend too much time in Foz do Iguacu. It is good to go see the beautiful waterfalls, but that's pretty much it.

Belo Horizonte is a good city to stay for a while but Rio is better because is a beautiful city and has the beach and everything. Could you do 5 months on all these places? Then you will have experience in all of them.

And just one thing i want to say: when you travel to the north don't forget to go to Lencois Maranhenses. Many people don't know about this place and it is one of the most beautiful places in Brazil (it is a bunch of white sand dunes fill with green water lagoons in between, really magical.

I am happy you are going there to help my country! It is great!

    Have a wonderful time there!

  2. Belo Horizonte is much better.  Foz is not a great place, as far as I'm concerned.  Rio is too touristy and expensive.  Belo horizonte is traditional, real and currently booming from the commodities boom.

  3. for the children

    yes !
