no way....u will be ripping urself off ,do not do it,u have endless possibilities with 1   12 rather than the 2 8's

I would take the 12 in over the 2 8's sheer power and sound quality is much better in the 12. so i would not trade

Depends...

The wattage will be around the same however the 8's won't hit the lower notes like the 12 will. The 8's will be louder however they won't be clear the lower the notes go. You can take whatever route you want. Remember depending on the type of amp the watts pushed to each of the 8's might be half of what you have going to the 12 right now.
