  1. in my opinion it is a waste. i have found better prices on auto, health and life insurance by searching online than what offers came through with aarp

  2. Sure. I think so. You get discounts on various things such as motels as you travel. You don't have to pay full price for the full year of AARP either. Contact them and ask for a trial period.

  3. It's not just about the discounts. The AARP is one of the most influential lobbying groups out there and they are fighting for lower health costs and prescriptions for people over 50. You will retire in 20 years or less hopefully and you will need affordable insurance and health coverage. Also, they get discounts LOL.

    I'm 23 by the way.

  4. Can sum it up in three words.

    DISCOUNTS......DISCOUNTS....DISCOUNTS

I'm a father of two young boys. The discount I get on purchases (doesn't matter if the purchase are for the boys or my wife) is great and helps big time.

  5. Yes. I'm only 47, but I read AARP. They have a lot of good articles and practical advice about getting older...stuff that people should be preparing for BEFORE becoming senior citizens! After all, we won't stay young forever and better to be prepared than unprepared, right?
