Is it worthy to buy a heavy-duty commercial vehicle in Canada and bring it in the USA?

What are the procedures? What kind of documents do you have to have to be able to pass the border in an unregistered truck? Any additional taxes or fees?

I read that Canadians are buying cars in the U.S. to take advantage of cheaper prices. But importing it back to Canada is a huge hassle. Why are you buying in Canada? Did you find better deals up there?
