I'm saying is My dad is into football and I watch it most of the time. He thinks that I should be a football player but I'm not into playing. It makes me feel insignificant. I want to see if people will agree with me

  1. No way!  Not only can you not live your life doing everything your parents want, but you shouldnt feel like you have to fit into a stereotype.  Find what you are interested in and put everything you have into it and you will be successful.

  2. I'll give you a paraphrased quote from comedian Chris Rock, who probably fits your description of "successful."

"I was terrible at any sports. Man, I went to white school and they picked me last for basketball.  Why do you think I became a comedian??"

Do what you want, but don't forget that your parents usually do want what's best for you.  But remember also that even if they want what's best for you, still doesn't always mean they KNOW what's best for you.

  3. You should tell your father that. He just wants you to play the sport he loves.  But you should definitely tell him how you feel.

  4. I don't think it would make you really a bad person, but hey, you should give it a go its fun :)

  5. no 15 year old black kid would call himself the tornado kid and have a light skinned avatar but interestin question even though it was lie and u can be whatever u want to be

  6. personally i dont see why you being black makes a difference

  7. I don't see what being black has to do with anything. That being said, Keith Byars, the OSU great(second to Doug Flutie in the Heisman), summed it up best when asked about his children. " I don't care if they play sports, become scientists, or play the piano, as long as they are doing what they enjoy, trying their best, and attend the Ohio State University".

  8. do what you want to do, if playing football is not your thing then don't do it, it doesn't matter what anyone else says or does, be your own person instead of changing your lifestyle to fit in or try to please someone else
