if the financial situation called for it then i would say it is possibly OK.

if she is spending the money on drugs, or buying materialistic c**p that she does not need then that is just disrespectful to her husband.

If the couple is no longer together it is fine.

Absolutely, if you are still married.  Even if you had no money and needed food, there are free food banks, programs, and food stamps that you can get assistance for.

It really does all depend on her reasons/motives.     I can't even imagine losing my ring nevertheless selling it.

It all depends on the circumstances.

If she is pawning it to fed her children then that's one thing - if she is pawning it in the heat of an argument that's a whole different story...

It would be an unfortunately circumstance the day a wife needs to pawn her wedding ring. However, if it's between that and a broken family/home... I think it's a worthy cause.
