  1. No,go for it.Who cares what others think. What does 'a biker looking woman' look like.

  2. It's not wrong at all and you don't have to worry about "looking biker" - actual motorcycle riders come in all shapes and sizes.

I would recommend taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation class first http://www.msf-usa.org  If you pass the class you get your license and teach you to ride safely.  You can also learn about some motorcycle basics at http://www.motorcyclegiftshop.com/motorc...

  3. It's definitely not wrong!! I'm 21, 5'4", 150lbs. and I definitely don't look like a biker chick but I LOVE my bikes!! I have a Honda Rebel and a Yamaha FZR 600. You will learn that riding is all about freedom. Enjoy it! It's a wonderful stress reliever. :)

  4. Nothing wrong with it all my love.

Just out of interest ...... what does a bike woman look like !

Also, these question would be better of in the NON Racing section.

Its under Cars & Transport. This section is for Racing questions only thats all.

  5. I think it is a wonderful idea, my wife rides a motorcycle also, although I feel it is very important to receive the motorcycles drivers training course, it will assist you in obtaining your license along with keeping you safe on the streets.  Hope to see you soon on your bike.  Good luck and be safe.

  6. i thnk u got the ansr already. Bike have nothing to do with age or gender, all it needs a person who want to be Free by heart if u think u r the same person or wanna be the one just go for it.......... no need to say but still saying use Riding gear properly,.......... wish u HAPPY FREEDOM........

  7. No loads of over 40's girls on bikes if you go to Southend Shakedown of all shapes and sizes.

  8. I guess you could wait till you're 50, as my friend did, before learning to ride and riding cross country, but I think you should go for it.

  9. I've never read any such rules on the subject. Go for it!!!!. Stay safe!!!

  10. in my opinion yes.

  11. Its not wrong to want to ride a bike at 40+  but you have posted this question in the wrong section.

You would be better posting it in the Cars & Transportation > Motorcycles section.

This is the Motorcycle Racing section

  12. Wrong section.

What makes you think it wrong for a woman to want a motorbike even at 40.  I have had my road licence for 26 years and I quite often have been  known to also do laps on my sons motocross race bikes when they need running in and time is short ( mind you I don't say I ride his race bikes well, but who cares)

You want a bike then get a bike but just be careful and do a safety course first.

And if you think I would look like a biker chick well then you would be wrong.  My 19 year old daughter did my avatar and she said she picked as close to how I looked as she could.  Mind you I don't usually wear a tiara but then my daughter has done ballet most of her life so hence the tiara bit.

  13. I think that's very acceptable.  Many women in their early forties have children that are still of school age.  You should also consider the fact that motorcycles offer no real protection and crash survivability is minimal, compared to cars.  If you have no kids, then it's a simple but informed decision.  if you have children, please consider your importance in their life / lives.
