She asked me out. I do like her but I m not sure if i want the attention of having a girl friend..

If you like her but are not shore as to what your feelings are (while you said you like her but your not shore as to it) tell her the truth and go from there.

I do not see the harm in being friends if you both are open about it to each other

Don't worry about all the attention, if you really like this girl and she asked you out, I say go for it! I can't say people won't focus their attention on that, because some might, but that's because people are so bored with their own life they have to press their noses in others.

But think of it this way, if you say no because you're worried about all the attention of having a girlfriend, then you might be missing out on a really nice, fun, cool girl that actually liked you. You wouldn't want to look back and regret it would you?

It is a normal thing at your age to have feelings for the same s*x, it is normal because of the changes during puberty. When you are older, you will be more sure whether you are more interested in women or men
