my cousin had this substitute teacher in P.E for 2 month he was not really a substitute teacher he was more like training. but anyway he's only 19 and she's 17 and she says that they used to flirt and she hasn't got him anymore since he's studying now ( economics) she says that she likes him and would like to date him. but isn't that wrong or weird. I personally think it is. what do you think? is it wrong and he did grade her

  1. Nope.

He's not her substitute teacher any longer.  He is only 2 years older than her.  I really don't see anything wrong with it.

  2. Not knowing the local policies its hard to say but as a general rule students and teachers should not get together.  Age does not come into it.

While maybe its difficult (today) to understand this later in life when you have your own children in school you will also not want them to have a teacher that is attracted to people in their age group.

You say he is now studying economics which I assume is to say he is not returning to teaching.  Thats good as regardless of how good a teacher he is,  one day his pleasure today will return to discredit him.

Weird it is not.  They are people and people do this sort of thing. (Get together.)   But as he is a teacher he has a commitment to be trusted with students.  That commitment extends beyond the class room and the school year.   Going out with a student is not respecting that trust.

  3. He is not her substitute teacher anymore so it's ok for them to date.. It is unacceptable whilst he was her substitute teacher but now they can date.. there is no moral dilemma there provided they both feel the same way and he wants to date her as well and both care about each other the same way... and he doesn't just want to use her for a fling.. then a 17 year old can date a 19 year old. he is not her Prof.. and he doesn't teach her anymore ...  so what was in the past doesn't apply anymore. there is no way a teacher pupil relationshipbetween those two any longer.. so it's absolutely acceptable and besides..  at age 19 he is not a proper teacher anyhow.. he must be a student and he gave her lessons to help her to get better at a weak subject.. that is not the same as a school teacher. He probably just finished college and is only starting university at his age so he is no legal teacher... x*x
