I went to visit my bf up there and I got lost and was trying to figure out where to go since like all the F*cking streets are only one way. Then I had people honking their horns at me cause I was driving the speed limit. I had taxi cabs swerve around me then cut me off. Then the light was yellow so I stopped and this guy behind me went nuts and was shouting out his window that I was a dumb b***h! I was almost in tears. I finally had to pull in a parking lot and called my bf crying and he had to come with his dad so he could drive my car back to his house. I was so embarrassed and upset. Chicago is so huge I dont know how anyone can find their way around and the drivers are so rude. So Is it wrong that I refuse to drive in that city?

  1. No, it's not wrong. If you clearly don't have the required skills to drive in Chicago, then you're better off taking public transportation or a taxi when you visit.

People drive in huge cities because they're used to it and know what it takes to get where you need to go. If you think Chicago is bad, try New York City or Los Angeles.

    Better yet, don't try.

  2. Just keep practicing.  Don't get intimidated.  You have every right to use the road.
