  1. Goodness no, if my mom was looking after my kid on a full time basis I would definitely pay her.

  2. I don't think it is wrong at all..I don't expect anybody to watch my kids for free no matter what the relation is..

  3. If it is full time then No.  If it is on the weekends or every once and a while then yes.  If it is full itm you should give them a discount htough.

  4. No.  I think my mom is going to watch my sister's twins-to-be for free when she goes back to work and I think she's getting taken advantage of.

  5. No it isn't.  I paid my mother for watching my children.  A grandmother should not be taken for granted.  I think it is wrong for children not to offer the money.

  6. Not at all.  Grandparents should never be expected to do this full time for free.

  7. I don't think its wrong, I used to pay my mom to watch my kids, when she watched them full time. You know your daughter/son better than anyone. How do you think they would react to you asking to be paid? Some people might have a problem with it, everyone seems  to think just because you are family it should be free. Which would be fine if it wasn't a full time thing.

  8. No, if it's full time you deserve pay. You didn't choose to have those kids and you shouldn't be responsible for them, beyond occasional "helping out" on a date night or weekend. Since you're going above and beyond that, yes, you deserve pay.
