It is very hypocritical to be a doctor and then smoke for many reasons.

1.) Smoking, reguardless of your possition or title is wrong and very, VERY, harmful to the human body. It can cause serious health problems such as lung cancer, which is often times fatal.

2.) If you are a doctor, health is #1. You cannot preach about the benfits of staying healthy and not smoking if you yourself smoke. Thats just plain hypocritical.

I think its not a good idea for ANYONE to be a smoker, but I am not going to tell you what is right and wrong.

And if you were a good Doctor you would know how bad it is and wouldent smoke!

Look, being a doctor does not make you perfect.  You could also say that cooks should not be skinny, and comedians should never cry.  It is ridiculous.  I personally don't smoke, but everyone knows smoking is harmful...so EVERYONE should stop smoking.  Being a doctor has nothing to do with it.
