Is it wrong to date outside your race?

People have told me that in the BIBLE it says that you shouldn't date outside your race. I was just wondering if it is true or not and if it is what book of the BIBLE does it say it in.

Yes it is wrong and terrible, but only if you live in the year 1952. This is 2008 and most modern educated progressive thinking normal people know that it doesn't matter. Date who you like, when you like, where you like, unless you live in some backward society, then don't aggravate yourself because at that point it's not worth it because you can't change old thinking, just wait 'til the old thinkers die.

some cultures and families may inforce it but i say there's nothing wrong with dating other races in where you have a better chance of finding the one you love.

no it's not in the bible somebody misconstrued what it says and the bible doesn't say that but even if it did although I'm a Christian myself, religious people have a habit of picking and choosing which part of their bible they want to obey anyways.

No. at least if you are speaking about religions. a jew will date always a jew.. it doesn't matter the color.. meanwhile if he or she is jew.. there are no rules in the Bibles. about races.. most of those rules were for the first israelites. now in the NT.. only teach to get married with the Lord.. that means a person from your own religion.. but I think persons of different religion and cultures.. help us to understand each other.. the love is love.. love is all.. everybody must love each other.. if a white wants to date a latin man.. that's Ok.. everything is Ok.. it's up to you..

NO its not bad! and im pretty sure the bible doesn say that its bad....i dont see anything wrong with dating people outside ur race....they are still human....a dark guy and a light guy are still guys-are they not? its like saying u can only be friends and family with the same race....if u do that then people will just think u r racest cuz thats just not right if u love or care about a person alot...but dont want to hang out with them cuz of color.....

Love and respect whom ever you want. I don't think the Bible teaches to discriminate because of color although in some parts there were discriminatory acts amongst religions not color. Well I say love who you want to love.

I'm not sure if that is in the Bible, though. In any case, I don't believe that dating outside ones race is bad. I believe it is OK. After all we are all human. "Race" is arbitrary and more based on the views through the lens of culture, rather on reality or science. Just my view.
