Is it wrong to help someone who is in need?

Question

I have a friend who has been diagnosed with cancer, and she is having to have chemo therapy. She told me that she MIGHT be confined to a wheel chair. She also told me that she will be held back. (By the way, she is a senior) Because last year, my friend missed months of school because she was sick alot. When I told my mom about the idea of helping her, she told me that she doesn't want me to help her because she doesn't trust her because my friend stole my money once, but she cant help it. She has this disability when she sees something, she has to have it, so she would steal it. I forgave her months ago, but my mom hasn't. What should I do? Is it wrong to help someone who is in need? I know she has done some bad things back then, but she cant help it. Please help me. My friend is going to need alot of help, but my mom wont let me help her. Please...help. I don't know what to do.

no its a good thing if you help her but its not a bad thing if you DONT do it however.....

I think your mother is not totally disallow you to help..

But she does want you to be careful..

Your mom may seem like she doesn't care but she does...about you!!

She doesn't want you to end up investing all your time and energy into a one sided relationship.  She didn't really prove to be much of a friend in the past and I think that's again what your mom is focused on.

Girl you have to be the nice, mature friend. Take my advise. Help her. She needs a friend. Your Mom is being overly protective and needs to trust you. Help your friend. She needs you in this hard time. ( :

just help her, if you forgave her, you can help her, your mom is your mom, she can't hold you back from your friends

It's never ever wrong to help someone in need! It's really great that you forgave your friend so long ago. If your mom really really doesn't want you to help her just tell your mom that it's what YOU want to do and you'd feel guilty for a long time after wards if you didn't help your friend.

You can also tell her that your friend would do the same for you (if that's true)

Anyways, my answer is Yes.

NO!u should help her.every1 does bad things in their lives, but she is in serious need of help....ur just trying 2 be a good friend 2 her.theres nothing wrong w/ that

Hi Friend,

I think you must help her. Friend in need is friend indeed. You must help your friend in crisis because she need your assistance in her illness. After school you can visit her & ask for her requirements & if possible just try to help it out.
