Is it wrong to hit a child?

1. i currently live in a house where that kind of situation happens for most of my time. a couple of years ago, my mom use a knife while yelling to cut someones ear off.

she also use a stick, the one you can find in kites, to wack my sister in the leg, and maybe the head and the back.

and also, she used a slipper to wack my sister on the head hard.

+ i once saw her using an empty bottle to wack her hard somewhere close to the head

based on what i just said, is it ok to hit a child?

*: when a child is right about something, how come they end up getting hit. (this question goes to chinese people especially)

It's wrong to hit a child. Period.

It's child abuse, and children can be taken away for it.

I heard it put this way this morning on the tele.........

'A parent who hits their child has a very small mind and limited imagination'

I totally agree, if you are not smart enough or adult enough to work out a way to discipline your child or teach them right from wrong without hitting them, then really, you are a very simple person and lame parent.

That child should be taken away from her mom.  It's not fair for the child to have to suffer, It's not your sister's fault.  If your mom is like this all the time, I'd call the police, give her what she deserves.
