  1. i assum that you have only been with your new bf for a few months considering that your baby is not his so how do you know you will stay with him forever?

  2. yes. put your last name on her birth certificate. it wouldn't be fair to her for to have his last name when he isn't really her dad.

  3. If you're in doubt then yes ... and even if you weren't then I would still give your little girl YOUR last name and whenever you get involved with a guy SERIOUSLY you can change it but for now keep it safe.

  4. You can't just put your boyfriends name on there.  He has to be present to sign it and he also has to sign another form stating that he believes he is the father.  If he knows for a fact that he is not the father, then technically, he'd be falsifying legal documents.

  5. um if he's not the father than yes it is very wrong!

  6. If he isn't the birthfather then yes, the birthcertificate should have the actual birthfather listed if you are going to put a father down

  7. I don't think it's a good idea. My aunt did that. Her daughter, who is in her 30s, just found out that the man she always thought was her dad isn't, and it has caused her serious emotional problems.

Besides, a name on a paper doesn't really mean anything. What matters is the person that is there for her, and loves her like a father.

  8. I am assuming then that he is not the father.  The biological father should be on the birth certificate.  If he is not in the picture,  then until you are married to your new boyfriend...he can adopt, and his name can be on the birth certificate. You cannot put any guys name on the certificate, if he is not the father...it's legal papers.

  9. Absolutely.  You don't have a crystal ball.  As much as you think this guy is going to be there forever, he may not be.
