  1. they are different grains all together

  2. No. Jasmine rice is white rice flavored with jasmine essence. Brown rice is unprocessed rice with no flavor added. Brown rice is healthier for you because it's not processed.

  3. ummm, I think you're a bit confused...brown rice can be any rice that is unprocessed...that means the rice grain's outer layer is still there.  All rice has an outer covering until it is processed and removed.  Some people like the stronger flavor of the brown rice and others like the processed white rice.

Now, as to types of rice...the rice known as Jasmine Rice, typically as it is sold in the USA, is usually processed (white) and has a really nice aroma when cooking.  It is a long grain rice that puffs up quite nicely and is not too sticky.

There are many other types of rice that are short grain, long grain, blended, hybrid...etc.  Some have a more starchy flavor, some are more firm or some are really sticky...etc.

  4. no its a lil diffrent

  5. There are Jasmine Brown Rice & Jasmine Rice. That the only difference between the two is that the White Jasmine Rice has been processed. Look at it if it looks white then its processed, brown with husk/covering on rice then its brown.

If the package says Jasmine Brown Rice then its Brown Rice, but the only difference between the two is that the Jasmine has an aroma/fragrance to its rice & its a longer grain, comparing it to your typical brown rice its a shorter grain & no aroma fragrance to its rice compared to the Jasmine Brown Rice.

  6. jasmine rice is brown???  I dont think jasmine rice is brown, it is white unless they have brown jasmine rice which I have never heard of before
