LOL! I think you mean is she Jamacian or American. And yes like the prev poster said she is Jamician...but black isn't a nationality. Just Black it reminds me of Just Jack on Will and Grace! LMAO!

I think so.  If you look up her performance on Apollo when she was 11 she had the Jamaican colors on.

No she is not Jamaican! She is African American from Philadelphia. If you look up her interviews, she has been asked that question many times, and she always replys no. Although "Need U Bad" has a carribean beat along with Pepa from Salt-N-Pepa speaking Patois(Jamaican Creole) in the intro and outro of the song, she is in no way Jamaican. She explained that it was something Missy Elliot wanted her to try. I don't why all these people are saying she is, but she is not. I provided a link to one of her interviews on youtube where she explans she isn't, but there are a lot of others where she says she isn't Jamaican also.
