My friend has the Wii Fit for the Nintendo Wiiand one of the exercises is running and you run on the spot.Is this an effective exercise? and does it burn the same amount of calories.

I think the results may vary from person to person. Running on spot is definately beneficial for someone who is starting a new excercise regiment. If you are a person who is very active and typically does more vigerous routines, then it may not be too effective for you, but that is not to say it won't work for some. I used the Wii fit for only one week and ran in place for 20 minutes a day for 5 days and lost 3 1/2 lbs w/out any other changes in diet. For me it helps shed those extra pregnancy lbs I just can't get rid of w/ diet.

hi am 14 years old and i am in a athletics club and i do 1hour of jogging on the spot every day but on thursdays i go running with my club and i sometimes do crosscountry or athletic competitons on weekend and i also do on mondays football in school after school and basketball on the tuesday will this keep me really fit ???:)
