If you mean Iraq, my understanding is that he believes:

- going into Iraq was the correct thing to do, given the information available at the time

- while the military aspect was performed well, there were multiple errors made following the defeat of the Iraqi military and government

- the probably ramifications of just pulling out of Iraq at this point would make that decision a huge mistake that would eventually necessitate further (and even more costly) military action at some point in the not-so-distant future.
