Question:

Is jr's nation crumbling?

Is the new Powerhouse too much for jr and his nation to deal with? "This was suppose to be his year" is the most common quote at my work place. "Kyle wasn't suppose to be this good" is another one!

The kid is red hot!!

Kyle Busch fastest in 1st Darlington practice; new record looming

First practice for the Dodge Challenger 500 at Darlington Raceway is over, the top five were:

#18-Busch 175.522 [would be new track record by over 1.5 mph]

#11-Hamlin 174.885

#88-Earnhardt Jr. 174.780

#28-Kvapil 174.724

#20-Stewart 174.519

slowest: #99-Edwards 169.263 and #45-Petty 170.744

most laps run: #84-Allmendinger 41; #00-McDowell 38

#45-Petty only ran 7 laps

note: the track qualifying record is held by Ward Burton, in March 1996 [after the track was repaved the last time] 173.797mph

  1. jr.'s fine. jr. nation is the same as ever. loud when he's good and leaving the grandstand mad when he's not. that dude will never run out of nation, (you people keep buying those 88 souveniers!) he's bound to win sooner or later. then jr. nation can tell us in their loud-mouth way how great he is. all things being equal, he couldn't beat kyle busch if ya stuck a rocket up his rear end. get used to it people, kyle is the king of speed. jr.'s the king of t-shirts and die-cast cars

  2. I think it's about time, these people realize, they need to stop drinking Jr's Kool-Aid, and face the fact that Junior sold out.

Think about it, he is the teammate of his biggest rival.

He is the teammate to Cheater Johnson.

And, to get this spot, he buried Kyle Busch.

For one, I'm glad Kyle Busch won first, and spun Jr. out.

I used to be a Junior fan, then he sold his soul instead of staying with the family. RCR I would understand. Joe Gibbs, maybe (can't stand Stewart). But to go with Gordon, h**l NO.

Go Mark Martin, a driver kids can look up to.

  3. I'm thinking Darlington is gonna bite off a piece of Shrub's...

    ''Brave ***'' !!!!! This weekend !!!   lol

If she don't ?... and Shrub pulls off a victory here....  It's bad new's for 11 other drivers, come Chase time !!

  4. Nope, its not crumbling, we just have not finished building our Trojan Horse yet.

Kyle will not win the championship, and he will be taken down before the season is over.

Red Hot and on fire, nope, he is a dim flame about to go out,,,,

  5. Junior Nation is alive and well, and here's the 2nd practice speeds.

  6. Yep, Kyle being first in practice is going to be the demise of the Earnhardt fans.  Oh what will we do now!!!!!!!!!!

Kyle has talent, and has a ton of more talent that his brother and I feel that Kyle will be a champion 1 day.  But by no means is this too much for Jr fans to deal with.  Last I checked Jr is still in 3rd place and only 104 pts out.  Alot of things can change at Darlington, good or bad for either driver.

  7. Hey Junior fans, stand up out of your seats!!! I think Dale Jr. just led a lap!! Real NASCAR fans cheer for wins and Championships!! Freaking hilarious!! I think Junior might want to think about running a full Nationwide schedule next year, his fans are DYING for him to win a race and maybe even a championship!! Wait a minute though, there are WAY TOO MANY Cup regulars running there too!! Maybe he should look into the ARCA series? I would bet a dollar that he could get it done there!!!

  8. Are you kidding?

I know a lot of seasoned Earnhardt fans who have had their best week in years.

Although the results were less than satisfactory, the mere recollection of the images of Busch trying to race into a corner as fast as an Earnhardt and failing to control his car was priceless.

We just chalked it up under the category we call, "things we knew would happen."

  9. nO,  BUT h**l NO.   He is 3rd in points what is the matter with you.  He is doing great.  Just because that little twit is doing a little better does not mean a thing.  There is still alot more racing left.

  10. Dale's fans are like any other, the TRUE fans will stand by him, regardless..

  11. Jr fans and gordon\johnson fans have never gotten along and i dont think they ever will.Therfore its really hard for a jr fan to be cheering for the same camp as gordon and johnson drive for.Had he gone to gibbs it would have been much diffrent since tony and jr have always worked well together.

  12. i dont like him but true fans will stay.Hey, i like morgan shepard(not as much as jeff gordon).

  13. I am neither a Junior fan nor a Junior hater.  But to answer your question, no, Junior Nation is not crumbling.  He seems to have a very loyal following.

All the Scrub has is a few loyal followers, and a HUGE load of band wagoners.  They'll all be jumping off when the rest of his limited talent runs out, and be cheering for the next kid that's red hot.

All of these Kyle Busch fans who have suddenly appeared - do they really like him, or just hate Junior?  Inquiring minds want to know!  lol

(Tbone, I'm still ignoring you.  The day that I pull for a Toyota driver is the day that monkeys fly out of my nether regions.  lol  Love ya/Mean it)

  14. I like JR, but he isn't my favorite.

    Jr, nation will never crumble.

However, if they keep throwing trash on the track everytime someone doesn't hand jr a win in a gift basket, they will become the most hated.

  15. I really doubt that Jr. Nation is crumbling since the guy is sitting third in points, and has been in the top four for most of the season.

Also, it is no big surprise that the TOP 5 drivers from practice today are running faster than the old track record. They did just repave the track after all. It has been predicted for over a week that speeds would be uncommanly fast there.

I really think this race is going to come down to who doesn't get caught up in whose wreck. The track is narrow and FAST. They are predicting a record number of cautions for the track.

  16. Fans will be true to their favorites nomatter what.Sure there are times that some fans are fans of the sponsor or car and not the driver. But 90% of the Junior fans are Junior fans.

  17. Wow Junior is doing pretty darn good. He's the only guy that is going to be able to stop Toyota from winning a championship. That's enough for Junior Nation to grow larger. Just think if Junior wins the championship. If he does, I hope the media has the cameras on Kyle Busch's face.

  18. i crumbled way before he started he should host a fishing show he is good at that

  19. True fans don't give a sh*t. GO JR!!!!

  20. Kyle Busch's fans are starting to sound like angry, desperate F1 fans trolling the Nascar section.

  21. Dave Despain sees a little Intimidator in Rowdy :^)

  22. Jr NATION is strong!!Kyle PUNK is nothing. When he turns into someone to purposely wreck them (I've watched the replays a hundred times) he will kill someone one day and if that happens I hope its him. He knew Jr. had the better car. I'm just glad he didn't win. And keep those security guards, PUNK BOI!!

  23. stop with the dumb question

  24. Since Talladega, I've made the prediction that Kyle Busch is the next Jeff Gordon. Seems as though my prediction is coming true...

  25. Jr Nation is alive and well....I could give a rats a** about Shrubs practice times, Every driver has there hot minutes the little Shrub is hot right now, next week it could be somebody else. I"m sure his has his own little group of shrub fans, but I know alot of people in Vegas, they all prefer Kurt over the little shrub.. So Dale Jr nation is doing just fine......

"YES LYNN" I agree if I ever pull for a toyota, send me to the looney house, heck I'll go jump off the Vincent Thomas Bridge out here in Long beach before I'd pull for a Toyota.....Once a Chevy fan always a chevy fan..

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  26. If we, as a group, made it through the tribulations of 2005-2007 seasons, then I'm sure we won't let Kyle Busch of all people break us.  We are, and will forever be One nation under Jr!!!!!

    Go 88!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. I am a Junior fan and am steadfast in my belief.  You know we get so caught up in winning and competition that we forget what happens to the person.  Yes the win has eluded him thusfar but he will be back with a vengeance and will be in victory lane drinking his Amp.

  28. Same goes for every driver that wins Lynn.  Its a fact of life.  To answer your question "Smoke" will always be my favorite but since the day Nascar changed the age limit because Kyle was kickin the c**p out of veterans at the age of sixteen I went out and bought a hat with Kyles truck team on it.    I told my best friend that day to watch for this kid.  He's the real deal and he's just getting started.

Cross over to the dark side.... Its ok.    Everyone is doing it.  Don't be afraid.

  29. No his fans will stick with him !
