  1. chavez jr should have 1 loss, last saturday matt vanda beat chavez jr but got robbed...in the last round chavez jr was about to get knocked out and they rang the bell early to save chavez jr...i hate corrupt refs & judges, chavez jr is no where near as good as his pops & this kid will never win against a legit champion! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqGP2v24j...

  2. Julio Chavez Jr. has won all of his fights except one---it ended in a draw.

  3. Yes, he has a current record of 37-0-1, 29 KOs.  The draw came against Carlos Molina; he fought Molina again and beat him.  Chavez, Jr. is coming off a disputed win against a fighter named Matt Vanda and he has recently stated that he is considering retirement after his disappointing performance.  But, as of right now, he is still undefeated.

jaY- The reason people are complaining is because Chavez, Jr. has had almost 40 fights and he still is facing bums, and he almost lost to one of those bums named Matt Vanda.  Chavez, Jr. won the fight, but the fact that it was a split decision against a fighter who is a stiff shows you that Julio is overrated by many people.  Also, the fact that he HIMSELF has stated that he will consider retirement after such a terrible display shows you that even Julio himself knows that he is not that good.

Edit to JaY: it DOES matter how close the fight is- if you win a fight by first round KO, it is better than winning by split decision.  At the end of the day, he still got a win on his record, but IT DOES MATTER how he looked and how he performed.  You have to be impressive and actually win fights decisively before you become a top contender/champion.  And don't ever compare him to his father- his father fought 116 times, but was also a TRULY GREAT fighter, and arguably the best Mexican fighter of all time.  The "crawling" that you mention is long gone; he has had 38 fights and is in his 20's- he should be facing top competition by now and there's no denying that...  He should be at least "walking" by now, LOL.

  4. He is undefeated and has 1 draw. His last fight was against Vanda which he won. People are complaining about the decision but the fact is Vanda won the last round and didnt do much else in rounds 1-7 in a 10 round fight. The bell was rung about 5 seconds early but the fighters were not even close to each other. JC Jr. was not about to get knocked out and the 5 seconds would not have given Vanda anything.

It doesnt matter how close the fight is as long as you win. He's still only 22 years old and has time to improve. He has to crawl before he walks. I'm glad they aren't throwing him to the dogs already. His father fought 116 times.
