Downloading x*x movies from internet and keeping with you and not distributing to anybody is legal or punishable according to law? Age is 21 male. What will be the punishment and fine?

no, it is not punsiable. as you are above 18.

but distributing to some one for money and any use that is obejectionable like showing in group where any one is less than 18.

Ya its a crime if its stored on CD's in bulk....

But even if its not, we should try to combat pornography

In India it is illegal.You could be prosecuted if caught with the goods.

It depends on the community in which you live.  Some communities have different standards as to what constitutes obscenity.  Basic pornography is legal, but obscene materials are not.  And the US Supreme Court and other Courts have been reluctant to step in and define what obscene materials are, since community standards are constantly evolving.  The general rule seems to be regarding obscene material: I know it when I see it.
