Is keeping a venus flytrap in my computer room a decent solution to keep flies from bugging me?

it wouldn't work because they only eat once every 2-3 weeks soo just get some flypaper

Not to be mean, be if you have alot of flies in your room, maybe you need to clean it.

It's more novel than hanging flypaper or flying insect spray, but I don't know if it would be as effective.

its a novel idea - and works, somewhat

sort of they wont get most of the flies but over time it helps a lot. you should also get a electric fly swatter because they are gig and kill on contact.
