Question:

Is keeping an LCD TV in storage okay?

I am thinking maybe a year or so in a cool, dry place. Its pretty new and I don't want to get rid of it, but I may not have the space for it for a while. Will it stay well preserved?

Also, I still have the box it came in, how should I store it? Standing up or laying on its back?

  1. Put in orginal packing if you have it all and store UPRIGHT. Never lay anything glass flat as that is when it is at its weakest. Keep dry as you said.

  2. Your LCD will be just fine being stored. Be sure to store standing up though, NOT laying down. Laying it down can sometimes damage screens. Make sure that while it's being stored, that it NOT be plugged in as well as this will save time on components life span. IF you still have the box and all the styrofoam that came with it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to store it in it. Hope this helps :)
