Question:

Is kharma real ?

I'm wondering if there is any buddhists or spiritulists, meditation proffesionals or psychics who know if kharma is real or not - see I am psychic myself and sometimes I can see things and I understand everything has an equilibrium in the universe - but I want to distiguish coincidence from real kharma and if there is actually any, which also entails life lessons.

  1. I firmly believe in karma.  And it can have big teeth.

  2. im a buddhist and i believe karma is real

    its worked for me

  3. Whether or not karma is real depends mainly on the person, rather than the religion. There are a few beliefs that do recognize the three-fold law, however, which is the belief that whatever you do can come back to you better or worse.

It's hard to understand what the force is that controls karma. In most oppinions its not really karma at all. Just a system of punishment and reward. Do something bad, and you are punished for it. Do something good, and you are ultimatly rewarded.

In short, Karma is a broad subject with some areas that are real and others that people convince themselves into believing.

  4. I'm not a member of any specific religion, although I was raised Catholic and I do believe in God.  But, I also believe firmly, in karma.  I'm not so sure I believe in "coincidence".

  5. 2008 isn't a good year for Kharma with me.  I flew to Chicago and brought my step kids down to Texas.  I paid for their gas and got them out of a really bad situation.

I broke my finger, lost my washing machine, had hail damage, a major water leak and now my dish washer doesn't work.

The kids seem fine, tho.  I just wish they would pay me back the money I loaned them to pay off their bills before they moved.  I could really use it right now.

Kharma sucks this year.  I didn't do anything wrong!

  6. I'm not a Buddhist or a spiritualist, but I think karma is  real. I believe it only resides in people who believe in it. If not, then they wouldn't ever talk about it... Do you get what I'm saying?

  7. I think that SOMETIMES karma is real and SOMETIMES it is not. As well I believe good karma is always conditional. I was really arrogant and s****. about my intellect as I was smarter than everybody else, and I got a brain tumour. I believe this was my punishment for me being so proud. I also lost the man I was supposed to marry for rebelling against God... I can think of so many times where karma impacted my own life.

As well if your psychic... I have 5 unanswered psychic questions... that you can answer for 50 points!!! e-mail if you would like to help.

  8. I totally believe in kharma, and I am a Catholic.  What goes around, comes around.  I notice if I am especially nice to someone in the morning, by day's end someone has been especially nice to me (strangers).

My aunt once put my mother down for "allowing" me to date a guy a few years older than me, and for "allowing" my brothers to marry Jewish girls.  A few years later, her daughter married a Jew 11 years her senior!!!  (My aunt shut up after that!)

I also notice that if I say something bad about someone, I seem to have a run of bad luck for a few days.  Also, if I call in sick with a fake illness, somehow soon after I really get sick with whatever the lie was.  I stopped doing both of those things!

I have a lot of psychic abilities too, although I am currently unable to harness it.  I've seen things in the future and I am very attune to spirits.  But I've found that if I "see" or "feel" that something bad is going to happen, I tap into my Catholic upbringing by saying a quick prayer and then those things don't happen.  Yeah, ok, I know that's weird, but it does seem to work so I will continue with that.
