i'm only a casual mma fan. i thought the fight saturday night was by far the best, most entertaining mma fight i've ever seen. kimbo busting that guy's ear was the most wonderfully gruesome thing i've ever seen on network tv. and almost seeing the hype of kimbo come crashing down was also very entertaining. it was way better than seeing two guys humping around the mat the whole time.

  1. i think he is a good street fighter, but he needs A LOT of MMA training. he was seriously struggling and trying to catch his breath at the end.

  2. No.  He's good for the sport.  Right now he's good because he sells tickets and introduces the Youtube crowd to MMA.  Once he starts pulling some real opponents, he will show via being crushed the power of real MMA.

Or h**l, maybe he'll train so hard that he actually gets to be a powerhouse fighter.  Then the first condition applies and he'll make a ton of money.  More power to him.

If you ever meet real MMA fighters, they'll pretty much welcome anyone into the sport.  If you can fight, you're in.  If you train hard and always improve your game, even better.

now EliteXC is bad for the sport.  Amatueristic productions are bad for the sport.  But Kimbo, so far he's fine.

  3. no i think kimbo is very entertaining to watch him fight

  4. He certainly does bring a much more fast paced and raw strenght element into the sport. I used to remember the days when he used to fight in the street, and he had no technique back then, nows he's gotten a lot better.

  5. I don't think so. I used to watch Kimbo street fight waaay before he entered Cage Fighting and I think the fact that he's doing it professionally now brings a much earned respect to a guy off the streets who started with nothing.

Kimbo makes the other fighters have to really step their game up and since he is incredible strong, intimidating, and unrelenting, it's going to make challengers have to train even harder, thus making the fights much more interesting to watch.

  6. WTH since when does Kimbo do MMA?! i havnt been keeping up with him lately..

  7. he would be better if he could do anything besides  box

  8. I thought the fight could of been stopped when Kimbo was getting elbows raining down on him.  I agree he is fun to watch, but he really didn't look that good.  He needs to learn more, which is possible.

  9. lol only fighters in elite xc need to step there game up to fight him and barely at that. just because you have knock out power doesnt mean you know how to use it or its good for a fight. a fighter who knows how to distnace himself and is mediocore at best at take downs would woop up on kimbo. he could be a good fighter if they let him get his *** kicked by actual fighters then maybe he would step up his game

  10. Hes not bad, but the way that gary shaw and the elite xc brass handle and cater to him makes the organization a joke in my eyes.  I have nothing but respect for kimbo and i think he has a lot of respect for the people before him and his trainers, so my only problem is with the company that owns his contract
