This is the fully-worded Q: Is knowing your IQ is high by standard testing a good thing? Or does it hurt low scorers by depressin them hurt high scorers by giving the an excuse to arrogant and lazy? Reason enough to ban IQ testing!?

You see, self-aware intelligent people do not need a soapbox like Y!A to promote their "high" IQs.  I would tell anyone who is depressed about a legitimate average score (90-109) that anyone who brags about a "140 IQ" does not have that IQ.

Banning IQ tests would have a negative effect on how professionals would be able to help students who are struggling.
