Bryant isn't leaving per say, he's just isn't signing a contract with the Lakers until he checks all his other options. If the European market keeps growing for basketball then he has an opportunity to own the team and play. He's looking to make at least $50mil to play overseas. If he doesn't get that he'll end up with the lakers.

LeBron James has apparently hopped onto this wagon recently as well.
