He's an extremely popular player, but I don't know if he's the MOST popular. In China, and other countries, he definitely is, but I don't know about here in the states. He's not my favorite. I <3 Steve Nash and Allen Iverson...but that's just me, I guess.

I don't think Kobe is the most popular athlete, but it depends what arena you are talking about. Globally, I would guess someone like Beckham is the most popular.

Im pretty sure Michael Phellps is the most popular athelete at the current moment but who knows Rafa is doin pretty well too, he might be #1 in the world soon if he keeps at it
