  1. couldn't find anything specifically on kurosumi ink being vegan, but most tattoo inks, and almost all newer inks, should be vegan friendly. the pigments themselves are based on metal salts and oxides.  the issue is the carrier fluid.

    some inks use small amounts of glycerin, which can be made from animal, plant, or synthetic sources.  usually ingredients lists don't specify, but it's cheaper to use a synthetic or vegetable source, so  it's almost always vegetable-based.

    you could ask your artist though, just to be sure. they can contact their supplier and ask, or if you find out which brand ink they use, you can look it up yourself.
