  1. No. La Crosse is a city on the Mississippi river in Wisconsin.

  2. actually native americans invented it

  3. I think if you combine answer one and answer three you get the picture.

Indiginous peoples of North America played the game long before white settlers arrived.  The game was adopted and altered by Canadians until there are today's two forms.  Box Lacrosse is played outdoors and is far more popular in the US than in Canada and may be closer to the original version since there's little doubt arenas did not exist 2 or 3 hundred years ago.  The version known as Canada's official summer sport is played indoors and combines some elements of hockey in terms of the number of players and the shape and size of the playing surface.  When I played way back when it was a very physical game and use of your stick on your opponent wasn't against the rules.  I do believe they have toned the game down some since.  Canada has two Cups of legacy for lacrosse: the Mann Cup for Senior men and the Minto Cup for Junior men, that have been competed for since way back.

  4. Yes it was invented in Canada.

    Canadian eh!

  5. By act of parliament, lacrosse is Canada's "National Sport of Summer", ice hockey is Canada's "National Sport of Winter".
