Is lactobacillus Acidophilus an autotroph or heterotroph?

It's driving me crazy! Also, if they're heterotrophic, what do they eat?

  1. It is not a green plant and can not make its own food, so it is not an autotroph.


  2. Ferments lactose into lactic acid. So, heterotroph.
