Is lasercorrection dangerous for the eyes?

I am considering to cerrect my eye-sight with laser This is because i dont want to wear glasses anymore. I am not sure however about the risks involved. Could I lose my eye-sight?

Is anyone experienced in that matter?

  1. As with any procedure, there are possible complications (even blindness, or death).  My partner and I had Lasik in 1998, and the next day we were seeing at 20/10 (both of us were pretty much blind without our glasses).  It's now settled to about 20/20 in each eye.  We went through the process of finding a reliable and well established doctor - one who has done the procedure thousands of times, instead of finding the cheapest.  Be careful about who you choose, don't just choose a Dr. because they are the cheapest - look around, investigate, ask for recommendations from your optometrist.  It's definately worth it!!


  2. there is not guarantee that it will run smoothly, you could go blind forever, i would never take that risk. Why don't you get contact lenses, you can't see them and you can see better with them in
