Is latex paint washable?

If I get latex paint on my clothing will it come out in the wash or is it permanent? thanks

All types of latex paint are washable except flat latex.

Once it sets, you're toast!  If you get it on you then you need to wash it out immediately, you might get lucky.  There are certain latex paint removers designed for taking latex off of cloth but I've had very little luck with it.  If you got it on a synthetic then that pretty much rules out the use of any chemical to dissolve it.  That's why they tell you to wear old clothes and painters coveralls.

My experience has been that some of it will wash out, but what is between the fibers is there forever.  Wear really old clothes when you paint.

Latex is water based and it is washable

You really should soak it immediately and then launder. It is the hardest if not impossible to get out once it dried on your clothing.
