Is latroy hawkins gonna be released?

Hawkins should be traded. The Yankees would lose too much money in releasing him. Rumor is some deal with Seattle for Jarrod Washburn.

i think we're going to see the ol' "designated for assignment" coming out on hawkins...he will probably end up being released if this is the case...the only other move the yankees can make in their pen is to demote dan giese, but then they wouldn't have a long reliever

He's making about 4 million for the Yankees, and they surely wouldn't waste that money and release him??? NVM, it's the Yankees!!!  His ERA is like 6.00, and he gives up at least a run every other appearance!!! The Yankees need way more stability in their bullpen, so, yeah, he's probably no longer a pinstripe!!  They also got Xavier Nady in the deal, he's the one who will help most with Matsui being injured!!  The team just got better, lookout!!!
