Is laundry detergent considered hazardous by the US postal service?

I've been researching this on the USPS site, and according to the site, you can ship liquids or hazardous materials as long as they comply to packaging regulations. i;m trying to figure out how i need to package the laundry soap and softener to get it there safely. my husband is overseas and says the px is always out of soap. please help

  1. if its a liqued then yes..after 911 there is a list of stuff that can't be shiped

    ... Items containing chemical or liquid products, powder goods, unidentified metal,

    mechanical and electrical products, and sealed containers with unidentified gas


  2. I wouldn't think so as I have received many free samples in the mail.

  3. no liquids in the mail

  4. Call the post office, and they will let you know. This way you will not have to worry.
