Not such a good choice for captainship. Deccan chargers have been loosing inspite of good players on their side.

No not at all. Laxman is definitely a fabulous batsman, but he isn't suitable for undertaking the responsibilty of acting as a skipper. He is too meek, and does not have that personality, and that agressive temperament, which every ideal skipper should possess. Deccan Chargers lost 3 successive matches, inspite of being one of the strongest sides of IPL, having a number of talented players. The performance of his team wasn't poor either, but they lost due to the lack of strategy. Also, Laxman himself has failed to perform his part as a batsman, under the burden of captaincy. So, it's quite evident that Laxman is not a good captain for the Deccan Chargers. Perhaps, Gilchrist would be a better choice, and an effective susbstitute for Laxman.
