Is lead crystal recyclable?

I have a broken Waterford lead crystal goblet that I'm not sure how to dispose of. Is lead crystal recyclable?

  1. I would say no, because lead crystal contains, well, lead.  Lead is toxic and not what you want to be recycled.  


  2. Lead crustal should in no way ever be recycled with other glass. That is the main  problem in having a glass recycling program.

    It is far better to forgo recycling glass than to have leaded glass mixed in.

    If you have a craft house that makes things from leaded glass, they will use it... and may even pay for quantities of it. But we do not want leaded glass showing up in our next jar of pickles.

  3. Just put it in with the other glass.
