  1. It must be, judging from the amount of lead stolen from church roofs recently.

  2. This is the fourth question involving none ferrous metals. The other guy ( Know A ) even asked if he would be poisoned if he touched lead. Tell me you two blokes aren't pikey,s nicking it from roofs are you ?

  3. Yes it has got some value, but I don't know how much, try and phone a few c**p yards or recycle firms as they are called now to see if they take it and how much they would pay you for it.

  4. Yes it is worth scrapping.

I am a plumber and beleive it or not we still use it a fair bit.

I would much rather people such as your self put aside the "can I make a buck" attitude to the attitude it will reduce us mining, digging huge pits, to get the raw material. traditionally it is a much lower price by weight than most non ferous metals.

  5. It should be recycled no matter what the price.  You can't just leave it laying around.  It is somewhat of a hazard especially for young kids.  Best to get rid of it properly.

  6. as far as US regulation you'd want to check with the EPA for disposal.  Lead does have some value, but unless you have a scrap yard that's very close to you, you'll want to call them and see what it's worth before wasting the time to take it over there.

  7. mixed lead is around 70 cents per lb USD.  See link below for current lead prices
