  1. If you have done some similar sports before that involve balance and coordination ie. ice skating, skateboarding, rollerblading, it may be a little easier. You probably will be frustrated at first, like I was, but I assure you a little patience and perseverence it could become one of your favorite things to do!

Think about the first time you did something, like ride a bike or ice skate. It was a little difficult to learn, but once you get it down, it's so fun! It's the same with skiing!!

As for dry slopes, in my experience they do not react like snow so it is very different and definitely not as much fun. I wouldn't want to learn on one surface and then have to adjust myself to a whole different one when I'm still learning... but if that's all you have to work with it's a good start!

  2. i found it very easy.  i learned on fake snow and i was just fine

  3. if you ment learning then it really depends.  if you start younger like most things it will come easy. if you are older but you are well coordinated and well balenced it should come easily if you have help.  also at ip to you is lean forward and do NOT CROSS YOUR SKIIS!!!!! i hope you take it up because it is a great sport.  -^^-

  4. For some yes, for others no.  Do you have any experience ice skating or roller blading?  If so it will make it a little easier (they are not the same at all but it will help)  If you have a good private lesson instructor You should do fine.

I have never been on a dry slope (don't plan on it either!).
