I got a guitar for my birthday and it seems pretty easy to play, but I havn't actually played it yet. I was wondering if it was hard to learn or if it would just come to me and be all easy

  1. well it depends which route u go..

one route is to know the knotes such as E,F,G..

another route is if u wanna start playing right now..

u go by the number of frets...such as 12,13,18..

if u wana take the route with the notes..u should get a teacher..

if u want the route with number of the frets to play go to this website...below..

o and i went with the route with the number of frets...

ive been playing for a full year and im really good at it..

at first its kinda hard..but in the next 4 or 5 weeks it gets way easier...trust me..

  2. Of course it's hard.  It takes a lot of practice, and dedication.  If it was easy, everyone would be playing, and no one would be asking questions about the guitar on this forum.

    Try some of these sites.

  3. The thing with playing guitar is that you have to have dissipline! you can't play sloppy it sounds like c**p! but when it gets more easy you get a feel for it and it just flows! when it gets tough don't quit, it just means you are taking steps forward!

  4. It is as easy as you "let it be". Only work on it 15 minutes per day. Beyond that, you aren't absorbing any new stuff, or gaining any valuable experience. Let your subconscious mind do all the work, while you sleep or party! Get a beginner's book, they're all equally dorky, and see how the 3 chord songs work. Once your fingers leap to the task effortlessly, the 15 minutes can be extended without exhausting you. Regards, Larry.

  5. It is easy, AFTER practicing for a year or two.  If you want easy, turn on the TV.
