I guess there is actually two parts to this question.

First one is like if you leave your cellphone to charge overnight insted of the 3 hour necessary for the battery to recharge bad? Or in this case any device like say an ipod or Ds or PSP ?

The second one is more ipod releated (i actually have a 80 GB classic). Is it bad to like leave my ipod in the ihome or something like that plugged in all the time or is it bad?

If it is bad. Then why is it bad?

  1. hi, the answer to both questions is quite simple, you plug the device in (whatever it may be) to charge it.. then the recharge circuit in the device takes over, this supplies a stable voltage and current to the battery. Once the battery is fully charged then the circuit cuts off power to the battery altogether. this stops you from harming the battery by over charging it.

but as a simple answer then no, it isn't bad

    hope this helps!
