  1. I've never heard of using lemon juice, but that's not saying it won't work.  My husband has worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years and, believe me, I've removed plenty of grease stains.  I don't agree with not being able to remove "set in stains".  I've gotten his clothes out of the dryer MANY times and noticed stains that I'd missed.  I put some dishwashing liquid on the stains and let them set for awhile.  Wash them in the hottest water possible for the garment.  You might have to repeat the process, but it's better than having to toss out your clothes.

  2. If the Stain has already been washed and dried its too late, the stain is set.  If it has just been laying around, use a heavy amount of spray and wash and let it set for 20 or 30 minutes and retreat before soaking in cold water for 3 or 4 hours with detergent.  Wash cold, if its still stained DON"T DRY IT, repeat the above!  My mom always told me, "Heat sets stains."   I don't know about Lemon Juice, it makes sense though, acids break down fats and oils.  May be worth a shot.
